#Chunguangge is a very mysterious restaurant and pub next to #Taichung Le Méridien Taipei. It has a strong Chinese palace and temple style facade, with two bronze lions standing on the left and right, palace lanterns hanging above, and big red curtains hanging on the side. There is "dragon" written on one side and "spring appears" on the other. If you didn't tell me, you would really think it was some prince's palace or temple!
#春光阁springlightbar is a very special existence, both in terms of design style and concept. Claiming to be an immersive Taiwanese restaurant and bistro, it not only uses local ingredients, but also displays the familiar Taiwanese culture through light and shadow in every corner of the first and second floors.
The theme of the first floor is "Taiwanese Temple Culture", with the bright colors of red walls and yellow tiles, highlighting faith and divine power. Familiar palace and temple elements can be seen everywhere, including red lanterns, lattice windows, ringing bells, and divination blocks. Even the wine is specially prepared.
The food is creative Taiwanese cuisine using ingredients from local small farmers; the wines are all produced locally in Taiwan and are in small quantities and high in price. The beautiful side of Taiwan is brought to life through the changes in light and shadow.
The theme of the second floor is "Taiwanese Mountains". The style is completely different from that of the first floor. It is like stepping into another different space, being surrounded by green trees and mountains, and having a chill camping trip accompanied by the stars and the moon.
The bartender enthusiastically introduced the various food and cocktail elements, as well as the strange store rules, and it was obvious that he agreed with the owner's philosophy. Due to human factors, the second floor is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you want to sit on the first floor on weekdays, you have to throw the divination blocks first and get the gods’ consent!
Chunguangge uses the concept of the 24 solar terms in its dishes. We ordered green lemon Lixia fried chicken, Qinglong Lixia pork cheek, Feiniu mixed noodles, and thirteen-spice preserved eggs, and the taste was pretty good. As for cocktails, a lot of fruits are mixed into the wine, which gives it a very rich aroma.
It is really a very special restaurant and tavern. It uses very innovative methods to promote Taiwanese culture. I think foreigners will like it very much.
