Lishan Tourist Service Center: Atayal Exhibition

Located next to the Lishan Hotel in Heping District, Taichung City, the Lishan Tourist Service Center is a key base for visitors entering the Lishan area. Located at an altitude of approximately 1,950 meters, it is surrounded by mountains, offering fresh air and expansive views.

The center features:
• Tourist Information: Providing information on transportation, accommodation, hiking trails, and scenic spots.
• Cultural Exhibitions: Exhibiting information on Lishan's indigenous peoples, agricultural development, and local characteristics.
• Amenities: Offering recreational areas, food and beverage outlets, and a selection of souvenirs.

Due to its high terrain, the Lishan area has been an important area of life for the Atayal people since ancient times. Land reclamation began during the Japanese colonial period, and later, thanks to the frequent residence of Chiang Kai-shek and his wife at the Lishan Hotel, it became a renowned mountain retreat and tourist destination. Today, the Lishan Tourist Service Center serves not only as a window for visitors to obtain information, but also as a "mountain inn," connecting past history with contemporary tourism.

Stopping here, you can not only look out at the distant mountains and sea of clouds, but also feel the intertwined heritage of Lishan's "alpine culture and nature".
