A trip to Anping where time and nature interweave

Enter the history and greenery of Anping Tree House
We first went to the New Beitou Railway Station Memorial Park near Taipei Railway Station in the early morning, then took a train to Anping, Tainan, and walked through the winding alleys to the Anping Tree House. This building, originally a warehouse, is now covered by dense banyan tree roots, forming a wonderful symbiosis between nature and humanity. The sunlight shines through the gaps between the leaves, and the interweaving of light and shadow makes it seem as if you are in a time tunnel. The tree house retains traces of history; the mottled walls and tangled branches seem to be telling of the prosperity and vicissitudes of the past. In the afternoon, I strolled along the nearby Anping Old Street, tasting local snacks such as shrimp cakes and candied fruits, and feeling the strong local flavor.
