Life does not need too much fancy embellishment; happiness is real when it is simple and plain.

The former Tainan State Agricultural Experiment Station Dormitory, located in Tainan City, Taiwan, was built during the Japanese colonial period and originally served as staff quarters for the station. The building, a Japanese-style wooden bungalow with a black tiled roof and well-ventilated corridors and Japanese-style rooms, exudes a strong Showa-era style. Surrounded by lush greenery, the building blends the atmosphere of daily life with the natural landscape. At the time, it primarily provided accommodation for technicians and staff at the station. Although no longer used as a dormitory, it holds historical and cultural significance as an important testimony to Tainan's modern agricultural development and the preservation of Japanese architecture.
