Taiwan's Forbidden City X The Authentic Luermen Mazu Temple

Located in Tucheng, Annan District, Tainan City, Taiwan, this temple is dedicated to the worship of the Heavenly Mother (Mazu). The Luermen Mazu Temple is not only a major public temple in the area but also one of the largest Mazu temples in Taiwan and the largest temple in Annan District. Due to its grand and magnificent architecture, it is often referred to as the "Taiwanese Forbidden City."

The temple's significant religious event, "Tuchengzi Incense Festival," was officially designated as a "Municipal Folk Custom and Related Cultural Heritage" by Tainan City on January 28, 2013. It is the most recently established among the five major incense festivals in the Nanying region.
