Taipei Longitudinal Walk Section 7 - Sakura, Mountain, Forest and Tea Country Route

This route connects Zhangshan Temple, Maokong, Tea Exhibition Center, and Zhinan Palace. The trail along the way is flat and easy to walk. You can enjoy the changing flowers, unique landscapes, and religious culture of the four seasons. It is a light hiking route full of natural beauty and cultural customs. Itinerary Planning

▶ Starting point: Zhangshan Temple
Starting from Zhangshan Temple, you can walk a short distance on the Feilong Trail. This is a place suitable for a short break. You can taste free Tieguanyin hot tea, enjoy the vast view, and overlook Taipei 101.

▶ Camphor Tree Trail
Pass by the Rotating Warehouse, a unique building on the trail.
Every year, lupines bloom from February to March, cosmos bloom in June, and sunflowers bloom in September.
Passing by Caiyun Pavilion, it is a good place to stop and take photos and enjoy the scenery.

▶ Maokong Station (Food & Rest)
Arriving at the Maokong Cable Car Station, there are many teahouses, cafes, and snack bars, which are suitable for taking a break, tasting tea and food, and enjoying the mountain view.

▶ Tea Exhibition Center Trail → Maokong Potholes & Suspension Bridge
Walk along the Tea Exhibition Center Trail and visit the Maokong Potholes. Cross the pothole suspension bridge and admire the unique stream erosion landform.

▶ Cable Car Zhinan Temple Station (Prayer & Trail Exploration)
There are many trails and small attractions here, suitable for travelers who like adventure. You can also ring the prayer bell to pray for peace and overlook the beautiful scenery of Taipei City.

▶ Lingxiao Palace of Zhinan Palace (religious cultural tour)
The palace is dedicated to the Jade Emperor. The interior is solemn and magnificent. Sakura and osmanthus are in full bloom around it. You can enjoy the cherry blossoms and smell the sweet osmanthus at the same time, creating a romantic atmosphere.

▶ Zhubai pilgrimage → bottom of the mountain → return to Zhangshan Temple
Slowly descend the mountain along the Zhubai pilgrimage, the trail is quiet and pleasant. After reaching the bottom of the mountain, you can take a bus back to Zhangshan Temple for about 15 minutes, ending this journey full of nature and culture.
