Bangka Old Street

#taipeitrip Besides temples and one ancient hospital at the intersection of Guiyang Street and Xiyuan Road, there are only two historic buildings left in this part of the street as far as I can recognize.

Temples are well preserved. The ancient hospital has a very beautiful Art Deco styled facade.

The rest two historic buildings that formed the so-called “historic street” are poorly maintained despite the fact that there are still people living inside and shops opening on the ground floor. It’s not a very touristy attraction but it’s very special in its way. I would say it’s more suitable for people who like genuine old stuff or ruins, or not so touristy stuff.
