Spring Romance: Hydrangea Bloom at Daan Forest Park

Every spring, Daan Forest Park transforms into a vibrant urban garden, with the most breathtaking sight being the sea of blooming hydrangeas. From March to April, the hydrangea trail is covered in shades of pink-purple and blue-white, creating an incredibly romantic atmosphere. It’s one of the most accessible flower-viewing spots in Taipei City.

A Dreamy Garden in the City
The hydrangeas are mainly located in the southeastern part of the park and near the music stage area. Not only are there abundant blooms, but the varieties are diverse, ranging from classic blue-purple to delicate pink-white hues, layered like blossoming flower balls. Walking along the flower-lined paths, every corner is worth stopping for a photo, making it a popular spot for photography enthusiasts and couples.

Free and Accessible Flower Viewing
No need for long journeys or entrance fees—simply exit at Daan Forest Park MRT Station and take a short walk to reach this hidden gem. The park’s clean environment and well-organized layout ensure that even on crowded weekends, it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It’s perfect for a half-day garden trip with family or kids.

More Than Just Hydrangeas!
In addition to hydrangeas, the park also features azaleas, irises, and other spring flowers during this period. Combined with lush greenery and birdsong, it feels like stepping into a secret garden in the forest.

Flower Viewing Tips:
It’s recommended to visit on weekdays or during morning hours for softer lighting and peak bloom conditions, which make for better photos. Some hydrangea areas are fenced off, so please avoid stepping on the flower beds to help preserve the beauty of the scenery!
