A 2-day, 1-night spring trip to Taipei.
On a warm spring day, instead of cherry blossoms, I wanted to see exotic scenery, so I embarked on a 2-day, 1-night trip to Taipei. The itinerary included the "Yehliu, Shifen, Jiufen" tour, making it a short but perfect healing getaway.
Arriving in Taipei on the first afternoon, the sunlight was gentle, and the air was cool—perfect for a stroll. After dropping off my luggage at a hotel in Ximending, I immediately hit the streets, bubble tea in hand, wandering through alleys under the spring sunshine. A simple bowl of beef noodle soup at a local eatery, followed by watching the sunset from the Taipei 101 Observatory, made the day fly by.
The second day was dedicated to the Yehliu, Shifen, and Jiufen tour. At Yehliu Geopark, the sea breeze tousled my hair, but the refreshing air made the walk enjoyable. In Shifen, I released a sky lantern with my wishes written on it, sending them soaring into the sky. Jiufen was serene and picturesque, perfect for both photography and a leisurely spring walk. At Jiufen, I sipped warm tea while sitting on a bench under red lanterns, soaking in the atmosphere.
Overall, the weather was so beautiful that every scene felt like a postcard. Spring in Taipei is undoubtedly a season I’d love to revisit.
