Elephant Mountain, or Xiangshan (象山), is a short, popular hiking trail in Taipei, offering panoramic views of Taipei 101 and the entire city. 🌆✨

📍 Location
Near Xiangshan MRT (Red Line), Exit 2 and follow the signs for ~10 minutes to the entrance.

Open 24 hours, but the best view is:

Mornings are crisp and airy, with fewer crowds.

Evenings before sunset → Enjoy views of Taipei 101 as the sky changes color and the lights turn on.

🌟 Highlights

The ~600 concrete steps take only 15–20 minutes to reach the first viewpoint.

A popular photo spot is "Elephant Rock" and a resting pavilion, offering a direct view of Taipei 101.

There are trails leading to the Six Rocks Trail and Xiangshan Hiking Trail if you want to continue the hike.

The nighttime view is superb, with the city lights illuminated and Taipei 101 prominently displayed in the center of the image.
