Taipei Urban Oasis: "Taipei Botanical Garden"!

Looking for a place to take a stroll and enjoy some greenery in Taipei? The Taipei Botanical Garden is definitely your top choice! It's huge and super convenient to get to—just take the MRT. Once you step inside, you're instantly cut off from the hustle and bustle outside, and the serene atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to unwind. 🌳

One thing to note: if you visit during summer, there are quite a lot of mosquitoes, especially near the ponds. Be sure to apply plenty of mosquito repellent! Also, the garden is quite large, so exploring the entire area will require some walking.

🌷 Atmosphere/Facilities:
The botanical garden is divided into several sections, with the "Lotus Pond" being the most famous. Every summer, the pond is filled with blooming lotuses, creating a spectacular view. Many visitors bring professional cameras to capture the beauty. Even outside of lotus season, the reflections in the pond and the surrounding greenery are incredibly soothing.

There's also a beautiful red-brick building within the garden—the "National Museum of History." Although it's currently under renovation, its exterior still exudes charm. Additionally, there's a Japanese-style space called "Nanmen Town 323," where you can enjoy tea and relax. The building itself is highly photogenic.

The pathways are well-designed, making it cool and comfortable to walk through the wooded areas. You can hear various bird calls, and it feels like you're in a small forest—hard to believe you're still in the heart of Taipei.

💰 Admission Fee: Free entry.

🚗 Transportation:
Take the MRT to "Xiaonanmen Station" and walk from Exit 3—it’s super convenient. Alternatively, you can get off at "Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Station" and walk from Exit 1 or 2, which takes about 10 minutes. Parking nearby is limited, so public transportation is highly recommended.

The botanical garden is a living museum, so please refrain from picking flowers or littering. It's a great place to bring kids to learn about plants or simply to stroll and exercise—a perfect spot for all ages.

🕰️ Opening Hours:
Outdoor spaces: Daily 5:30 AM - 10:00 PM.
(Indoor facilities like greenhouses may have shorter hours; check online for details.)
