A Glimpse of Nature’s Masterpiece 🫶🏻

Sanxiantai (三仙台), located on the eastern coast of Taitung County, is a famous landmark known for its dramatic coastal scenery and the iconic eight-arched footbridge that connects the mainland to a rocky offshore island. As I stood at the beginning of the bridge, the view was breathtaking — waves crashing against the black volcanic rocks, the rhythmic rise and fall of the ocean, and the clear blue sky stretching endlessly above.

Walking across the bridge felt like a journey between worlds. Each arch seemed to symbolize a step closer to nature’s raw, untouched power. The island itself, dotted with strange rock formations and steep cliffs, holds a mystical aura. Legend has it that three immortals — Lü Dongbin, Li Tieguai, and He Xiangu — once landed here, giving the place its name, which translates to “Terrace of the Three Immortals.”
