Located in Chishang Township, Taitung, Brown Boulevard is a countryside road surrounded by rice paddies, made famous by a Mr. Brown Coffee advertisement. With no utility poles or billboards to obstruct the view, the expansive scenery has earned it the reputation as one of Taiwan's most beautiful rural roads.
📍Transportation
🚄 Take the Taiwan Railways to "Chishang Station." Outside the station, several rental shops offer bicycles or electric scooters. Follow County Road 197 for about 10 minutes to reach Brown Boulevard.
🚌 Alternatively, take the Dingdong Bus to "Chishang Station," then transfer or walk to the destination.

The area is open all day and free of charge.
The road is only accessible to pedestrians and bicycles, so be mindful of traffic regulations.
It's recommended to visit in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the intense midday sun.

📝Personal Observations
During my visit, the rice paddies were in their early growth stage, showcasing a refreshing green landscape. The wide-open views were truly uplifting. Riding a bicycle slowly along the road, the sound of the wind rustling through the rice fields was incredibly soothing—a perfect way to escape the urban hustle and clear your mind. Although there were no golden waves of rice, the vibrant energy of early spring was palpable, leaving a lasting impression.
