Taiwan Stroll|Yangmingshan · Zhuzihu|Hydrangeas in the Valley

The hydrangea season in Taiwan has arrived! Today, I visited Zhuzihu in Yangmingshan to admire the hydrangeas again. This marks my third consecutive day of flower viewing—middle-aged women can be quite passionate about this! The place I visited today was truly delightful. The entrance was modest, but once inside, it revealed a hidden paradise. Upon entering, the farmer encouraged us to explore further, saying the deeper we went, the more beautiful it would be. The blue hydrangeas near the entrance were stunning, but as I ventured deeper into the garden, the purple hydrangeas were even more breathtaking. Some of the large flower clusters were so heavy they drooped to the ground. The farmer has taken excellent care of the flowers, and the layout of the garden is well-planned. By utilizing the varying elevations, they’ve created distinct areas that are free of obstructions, making it easy to take great photos.

I entered the garden at 4 PM, and it closed at 5 PM. There weren’t many visitors—just two or three groups. In the afternoon, Yangmingshan often becomes shrouded in mist due to the rain. Yesterday, I climbed the main peak of Datun Mountain, which was right in front of me. A thick blanket of white mist covered the verdant peaks, creating a stunning contrast with the vibrant purple hydrangeas. It was so beautiful that I couldn’t resist taking plenty of photos.

Additionally, the dense flower clusters require caution when passing through, especially with backpacks. The paths can become muddy after rain, so be careful while walking.
