Chasing Views at Shifen Waterfall

#chinatravel Shifen Waterfall in New Taipei City is one of those spots that totally lives up to the hype. I went on a chill day trip and it was honestly super worth it. The waterfall is big, loud, and really pretty, kind of like a mini Niagara. There’s a nice trail that leads you there with a few lookout spots, and it’s all super easy to walk.

You’ll definitely want your camera because the views are next level. The area around it is also fun to explore. The old street nearby has snacks, sky lanterns, and a relaxed vibe. I lit one just for the experience and it was kind of magical, not gonna lie. It’s touristy, sure, but not in a bad way. If you’re anywhere near Taipei and want something outdoorsy but low effort, Shifen Waterfall is a great pick. Just don’t forget bug spray.
