#chinatravel Exploring the Yin Yang Sea, the Thirteen Levels Ruins, and the Golden Waterfall in New Taipei City Taiwan is like stepping into a surreal postcard. Everything looks kind of magical and strange in the best way. The sea has this wild color contrast where deep blue meets bright yellowish brown, all because of natural mineral runoff, not pollution, which is what a lot of people think at first.
Just above the sea, the Thirteen Levels Ruins are super cool and eerie. This was once a copper smelting plant during the Japanese occupation, and now it’s just this huge abandoned structure slowly being reclaimed by nature. You can’t go inside, but it’s awesome to look at and take pictures.
Then there's the Golden Waterfall, which really lives up to its name. The water flows over golden rocks and has a metallic shimmer from the minerals. It’s a short walk between all three spots, and totally worth the visit if you're near Jiufen or Ruifang.
