Taiyuan Confucian Temple - Chongsheng Shrine.

The Chongsheng Shrine of Taiyuan Confucian Temple is located in the third courtyard (backyard), and is an independent courtyard building composed of Chongsheng Gate, Chongsheng Hall, and east and west side halls. The Chongsheng Shrine is a place to worship Confucius' ancestors. It is said that later the memorial tablet of Confucius' wife was also moved in for worship. The Chongsheng Shrine was originally called Qisheng Shrine, and was dedicated to Confucius' parents. The central Chongsheng Hall has five rooms, and the front has a single-eave hip-and-gable roof.
