[Takachiho, Miyazaki] Takachiho Shrine, Kasugata Shrine

Takachiho Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, known as the land where the grandson of heaven descended to earth.

Founded about 1,900 years ago, Takachiho Shrine has many magnificent cedar trees around the shrine, including a married couple of cedar trees whose roots are connected together and a Chichibu cedar tree that is 800 years old. 🌲

It is said to bring good luck in finding a partner and fulfilling various wishes, and there is a wide variety of amulets available.

In the Kagura Hall on the shrine grounds, the most representative number 4 of the 33 Kagura performances is performed every night. 👺

Soseki Shrine, which is said to bring good luck in singing and martial arts, is located about a 5-minute drive from Takachiho Shrine, and you can also get the Goshuin of Soseki Shrine at Takachiho Shrine.
