It is a very impressive shrine, and a great power spot. Kagawa Prefecture has had little water since ancient times, but Tamura Shrine has been worshiped as the god of water for agriculture, as it has an abundant source of groundwater. The shrine is said to grant bountiful harvests, safe roads, safe travels, fulfillment of wishes, and protection from evil. There are many types of goshuin (shrine seal) and fortune slips. I visited before lunch on a weekday, and it was empty.
