🌆 Weekend Stroll Through Takamatsu Chuo Shopping Street

I spent the weekend exploring Takamatsu Chuo Shopping Street, said to be the longest covered arcade in Japan, stretching an impressive 2.7 kilometers. Walking through it, it truly felt endless — one shop after another, filled with energy and charm. The mix of modern stores and long-standing local shops gave the area a wonderfully nostalgic yet lively atmosphere.

For dinner, I stopped by “Izakaya Mitsuyatei.”
Every dish we ordered was delicious, but the highlights were definitely the kamameshi (traditional rice pot) and Kagawa’s specialty, honetsuki-dori (grilled bone-in chicken) — both packed with flavor and perfectly cooked.

It was the perfect way to wrap up a day of exploring Japan’s longest shopping arcade.
