Sanuki Toshogu Yashima Shrine
This shrine is associated with the Tokugawa family.
There was a hollyhock crest on the gate.
It is located at the top of a straight staircase, so the view of Takamatsu city from the shrine was beautiful.
We visited in autumn, so there were many acorns near the stairs, which was helpful as my daughter didn't get bored of climbing them.
These were very large and beautiful acorns.
Below the shrine was a tea room, a very popular udon restaurant, and a museum.
We visited the Tea Room Ijinkan, but the view from the shrine was great, so it was worth it.
The Tea Room Ijinkan is also wonderful, so be sure to visit it as well!
We recommend the coffee jelly with liqueur and the wasanbon ice cream.
