Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine is the site of the famous Takayama Festival held every year
You can see the milky white torii standing on the Miyamae Bridge from a distance.
After entering the Great Torii, you will reach Omotesando.
The second torii gate is also very impressive, with tall trees beside it.
Unfortunately, the stairs in front of the main hall are currently under maintenance, so you need to go around the stairs next to it to go up.
The main hall is very beautiful and solemn, and the main hall and the gate of Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine are all built with cypress wood.

There is also a Takayama Festival yatai hall that you can visit.
Although it is small, it displays the terraces used in the Takayama Festival.
Very exquisite and each one has different characteristics

You can choose to walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine or take the bus.
But I think it’s not far to walk from the mountain center.
