It is said that the wood used to build the houses at that time was high-grade cedar, which the government had clearly prohibited from being used. This unintentional behavior unexpectedly allowed the houses to be preserved intact for more than 400 years. Today, it is recognized by the government as an "Important Traditional Buildings Conservation Area"!

～Takayama Jinya～

After the Meiji era (1868-), it continued to be used as the government office until it was relocated in 1969, guarding this land for 277 years. It is a "national monument"
