Hualien Taroko Tour

Taroko National Park is famous for its majestic, nearly vertical marble canyon landscape. Walking along the canyon scenic line of Liwu River, you can see towering cliffs, precipices, canyons, winding cave tunnels, marble formations and streams.

Four million years ago, the Philippine Oceanic Plate collided with the Eurasian Plate to form Taiwan. The surface rock layers of the slowly rising Central Mountain Range were stripped away by weathering and erosion, and the marble was exposed to the surface. These marbles were eroded and cut by the Liwu River for a long time, and the earth's crust continued to rise, forming an almost vertical canyon. The park is dotted with giant peaks, with a drop of 3,742 meters from Qingshui to the top of Nanhu Mountain, creating a complex layered plant forest and providing space for wild animals to live and move around.

Waterfalls are an important landscape in Taroko National Park. There are many waterfalls from the mouth of Taroko to Wenshan. The most famous ones are Baiyang Waterfall, Yindai Waterfall, Changchun Waterfall, Green Waterfall, etc. There are also many unknown small waterfalls.
