Taroko Gorge, one of Taiwan's national parks, is a breathtaking place where green-topped marble cliffs fill your view.
As you ascend the winding paths, you'll encounter steep gorges with streams flowing alongside and even spot monkeys darting through the branches.
While completing the entire tour course involves quite a bit of walking, the scenery visible from the bus alone is enough to experience the grandeur of Taiwan's natural beauty.
🌳 Address:
Taroko National Park, Hualien City, Taiwan
🌻 Admission Fee:
Free
- Currently closed due to earthquake and typhoon damage
⚘ Tip:
At the summit, there's the 'Silks Place Taroko' hotel, which offers shuttle service from the station and organizes Taroko Gorge tour programs. Additionally, you can enjoy a rooftop swimming pool in the mountains, making it a great choice for a memorable stay.
* Price range: 400,000 - 600,000 KRW
If departing from Taipei, taking the train to Hualien is recommended over the bus. It saves time and avoids road closures caused by falling rocks.
