Tashkent: popular restaurant 1991

We stopped at the restaurant “Cafe 1991” after a walk, so we were not wearing restaurant clothes at all: sweatshirts, jeans, sneakers. The men in the restaurant were in suits, and the women were in evening dresses. Although it was only 4 pm.

Inside the restaurant, you could choose one of the rooms and sit in it together. There was dim lighting everywhere and light music was playing.
But we decided to choose a table on the terrace, so I was a little embarrassed by our appearance.

🍹 From drinks, we chose beer and lemonade. To go with the drinks, we ordered an appetizer of Sambuski with cheese. Special tongs were served with the dish.

🍲 My main course was Chicken roll with prunes and dried apricots in a crispy breading. Chicken roll was served with mashed potatoes and BBQ sauce. The presentation here is amazing - I have never seen such a beautiful presentation of mashed potatoes.

🍢 The second hot dish we chose was Beef medallions with potatoes. New potatoes were served with a creamy onion sauce. Beef tenderloin was served with a sweet sauce. The meat was very tender, well-done, and melted in the mouth.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior.

The waiters are polite.
And the presentation of the dishes is gorgeous!
