Lake Tekapo, an emerald lake by day, a town filled with stars by night

Tekapo was one of the most romantic places in New Zealand's South Island. As soon as we arrived, the emerald waters of **Lake Tekapo** and the snow-capped mountains behind it looked like a scene from a fairy tale.

The **Church of the Good Shepherd** on the lakeside was a representative landmark of Tekapo. The small stone building, the lake behind it, and the mountains behind it created a perfect landscape photo.

The real charm of Tekapo began at night. As one of the world's three major starlight reserves, the sky was filled with stars. The experience of observing stars while listening to explanations about the southern hemisphere constellations on the observatory tour was truly special.

When the season was right, the lupine flowers blooming along the lakeside were also a sight not to be missed. The sight of purple, pink, and yellow lupines against the backdrop of the lake was indescribably beautiful.

At the end, I looked out the window while drinking a warm drink at a lakeside cafe. Lake Tekapo was a magical town that was peaceful during the day and memorable for its enchanting starlight at night.
