Locals and visitors strolled along the harbour, ice creams in hand, while dogs (mine included!) happily padded through the soft sand, tails wagging at full speed. There’s just something about Tenby that feels like a holiday for the soul — the fresh sea breeze, the charming historic streets, and the warm coastal vibe.

I wandered down to North Beach, and honestly, the view from the promenade could rival Mediterranean hotspots. The sea was calm, kayakers dotted the horizon, and the water shimmered in unbelievable shades of blue and green. For a moment, I forgot I was in Pembrokeshire and not some faraway island retreat.

Best time to visit? A sunny spring or summer day, ideally midweek to avoid crowds. Early mornings and golden hour in the evening are pure magic for photography — and for a peaceful wander with your four-legged friend.
