Heiyu River, located in the Heiyu River Canyon of Tengchong Volcano Geopark, is an underground dark river. After the volcanic eruption, the magma blocked the underground river, causing the underground water to flow out of the ground. Because thousands of black fish flow out of the water outlet every summer and autumn, it is named Heiyu River (Black Fish River). The river is surrounded by large forests and rich natural vegetation. The trees are towering and lush. The wild macaques by the road are not afraid of people and are not wild. From time to time, villagers nearby sell food for feeding monkeys. If you are interested, you can also buy bananas and peanuts, watch the little monkeys take food from your hands, monkey mothers climb trees with their cubs on their backs, and monkeys fight in groups, and experience the fun of feeding wild macaques at close range. The water of Heiyu River is crystal clear, and the stones and water plants at the bottom of the river are clearly visible. The fish swim freely in the water, like a piece of jade inlaid in the mountains. This is also the largest low-temperature hot spring in Tengchong. The river water is a natural high-quality mineral spring. Do you have the urge to taste it? Because the scenic area is temporarily closed, I can only stand on a bridge downstream of Heiyu River and watch the beautiful scenery of Heiyu River from a distance. The vegetation on both sides of the river in the distance is lush, the stream is gurgling, the water plants are swaying with the waves, the river beach and the volcanic rocks in the river are shining with black luster under the sun, shining brightly; the river water under the bridge is rushing, the emerald green river water is roaring and colliding with large black lava rocks, making a huge noise, which is quite spectacular. In this place with few people and good scenery, a rare niche secret place, you just need a photographer to take a picture of this beautiful natural picture!
