⏰ Trip Overview
Dates: July 28 - August 4, 2025 (8 days)
Group: 4 people (2 men & 2 women, all with 4000m+ trekking experience)
Route: Yuwa Village → Xiawutso → Zhuoxiang → Tangxiang → Ega → Tsho Sholrima → Exit
Keywords: Monsoon adventure, yak strike, golden sunrise ecstasy, altitude sickness midnight blues
🚶♀️ Daily Highlights & Hard-earned Wisdom
Day1: Shigatse → Yuwa Village → Xiawutso (4650m)
Dramatic start: 900m ascent! All four panting like "plateau bellows", then screamed when Makalu peeked through clouds
Camp terror: Yaks arrived 3 hours late (peak season shortage), shivered like leaves in tent
Tips:
✅ Book yaks 3 days ahead! ¥230/yak/day, extra charge over 40kg
✅ Mobile signal available at Xiawutso
Day3: Zhuoxiang → Tangxiang (4520m)
Rainbow miracle: Exhausted during climb when double rainbow suddenly appeared over Kama Valley! Teammate cried saying it looked like Heidi's Grandfather 🌈
Pastoral romance: Wildflowers blanketing Shanong Meadow, picnicking while yaks watched us eat beef jerky LOL
Day6: Ega → Everest BC → Tsho Sholrima (5013m)
Death-defying scree: Crawled through Badang landslide zone with 100m drops below! Acrophobic teammate broke down
Ultimate reward: At Tsho Sholrima camp, witnessed Everest+Lhotse+Makalu reflections when clouds parted
📸 Legendary Mountain Photography Spots
Xiawutso: Makalu reflection + morning mist (arrive east shore before dawn)
Tangxiang: 360° viewpoint! Everest/Lhotse/Chomo Lonzo aligned
Tsho Sholrima Upper Lake: Must-capture triple peak reflection! We filmed 15sec golden light creeping over summits
Badang Meadow: Almost touching Chomo Lonzo's ice wall (but 24km roundtrip nearly killed us)
Pre-trek accommodation
Pingcuo Kangsang Qudang Oxygen Hotel. Honestly we were just hoping to find any clean hotel in this area, but this one exceeded expectations with complete facilities. Their restaurant was especially good - nothing beats a steaming bowl of noodles after exhaustion!
"After Everest East Slope, all other snow mountains become compromises"
Don't wait! While young, go see the world, meet its people, and discover yourself
