The most exciting and unforgettable part of your trip to Tibet - the must-pass "108 turns" from Shigatse to Everest Base Camp! This is definitely the most spectacular and thrilling Panshan Highway I have ever seen!
🏔️ What is "108 turns"?
"108 Turns" is a legendary highway located on Mount Gaura in Dingri County, Shigatse City, Tibet, China. It is about 50 kilometers long and has a huge height difference of more than 800 meters between Gaura Pass and Everest Base Camp! The road is really dizzying, one by one sharp bends continuously, as if it can never finish!
🚗 Master's god-level driving skills test
Driving on a plateau is definitely a technical test! With high altitude, thin oxygen, complex road conditions, and dealing with continuous and constant sharp bends, you really can't do it with less experience and skills! Fortunately, our charter master was super skilled, turning steadily at every corner and explaining the scenery and precautions along the way, so we could enjoy the spectacular views outside the window with confidence! Arriving at the observation deck halfway, we immediately picked up our phones to take pictures, and forgot about the slight discomfort of the plateau, the heart was only excited. The master also reminded: "Don't be too excited, breathe slowly, don't be too excited will😂!" After hearing this, he immediately slowed down his breathing.
📸 Beautiful scenery along the way
⛰️ Although the journey is bumpy, the scenery along the way is definitely worth the price!
⛰️ Each turn may bring a different angle of snow-capped mountain landscape
⛰️ From Gaura Pass you can see distant peaks
⛰️ The further you go, the more magnificent the view, as if you are walking on the heavenly road.
