Late November to early December is the best time to enjoy autumn leaves and ginkgo trees in Tokyo.
Among the attractions that cannot be missed, the University of Tokyo is definitely one of them.
The University of Tokyo has two campuses, the Yayoi Campus and the Hongo Campus. I especially recommend the main entrance of the Hongo Campus, which has a Ginkgo Avenue. It must be crowded in autumn. It was already afternoon when we arrived that day, so there were surprisingly few tourists. In addition, the setting sun fell on the bright yellow ginkgo leaves, revealing a golden glow. It is also a great angle to take pictures from the archway of the campus.
There is a century-old ginkgo tree in front of the Institute of Technology, which is also not to be missed. Many girls are queuing up to take beautiful photos.
It was a pity that we didn’t go to Yayoi Lecture Hall because it was getting dark that day🥹
It is recommended to go here on weekdays when there will be fewer tourists. You will also have the opportunity to take aerial photos. If you have enough time, you can also go to the cafeteria for dinner, stroll leisurely between the two campuses, and immerse yourself in the golden Ginkgo Avenue🥰🥰🥰
