I visited Tobikiinari Shrine on a weekday afternoon, and it turned out to be a peaceful escape from the usual hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The shrine is conveniently located between Oshiage and Hikifune stations, just a 10-minute walk from either station. Plus, if you're in the area, you can also check out Takagi Shrine, which is just a few minutes away on foot.
One of the highlights of the shrine is the massive sacred tree (御神木), which has a rich history, and you can feel its spiritual power as you stand before it. The tree’s significance adds a sense of reverence to the place, making it a great spot to pause and reflect. If you're into unique photo opportunities, there's a fun angle where the tree almost looks like a fox, so be sure to try to find that angle for a cool shot!
Here are two reasons why you should visit:
1. It's a peaceful spot to escape the crowds, especially during a quiet weekday afternoon.
2. The sacred tree and the unique fox-shaped view offer something special for visitors who enjoy nature and hidden gems.
