🌸 Catching the Last Cherry Blossoms at Shinjuku Gyoen 🌸

#cherryblossom25
At the very end of spring in Tokyo, you can still spot cherry blossoms at Shinjuku Gyoen! ✨
There are four varieties of late-blooming sakura planted here, and on April 20th, they were still in full bloom. However, it was quite windy, and many petals were blowing off the trees, so if you want to catch them, you’ll need to hurry! 🌬️🌸

We arrived around 11 AM, and it wasn’t too crowded yet. We found a cherry tree to lie under, enjoying a picnic and soaking up the sun — it was incredibly relaxing! 🍱☀️
By the time we left, the large lawn area had filled up, and almost every cherry tree had people gathered underneath. Since it was the weekend, both locals and tourists came out in big numbers.

✨Quick Tips

Admission: 500 yen
Parking: Shinjuku Gyoen’s Okido Parking Lot offers discounts — after entering the park, you can validate your parking ticket with your admission ticket. Parking costs 600 yen for 2 hours, then 200 yen for every additional 30 minutes.
