🍽️Hibiya Matsumotoro
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: "Hibiya Matsumotoro was established in 1903 as one of the 'three Western elements (Western flowers, Western food, Western music)' that form the concept of Hibiya Park, Japan's first Western-style park. The building is a three-story structure with a mansard roof, which was popular at the time. It gained a reputation as a stylish restaurant, and it became a huge trend among fashionable young men and women to 'eat curry and drink coffee at Matsumotoro.'
The first meeting of the Meiji-era literary group 'Pan no Kai' was held at Hibiya Matsumotoro, gathering young poets and artists. It also became a place of relaxation for many literary figures such as Natsume Soseki and Kotaro Takamura, author of 'Chieko-sho,' and is reflected as a setting in their poems and novels."
