From Tokyo Station's "Guernica" to Hibiya Christmas — A Winter Stroll of Art and Light
At the Tokyo Station Gallery in Marunouchi, Tokyo, I stopped to admire a ceramic reproduction of Picasso's "Guernica." It was a special moment, feeling the breath of art at the base of my journey.
From there, I walked to Hibiya. At the historic Western restaurant "Hibiya Matsumotoro," I enjoyed a special Christmas dinner during the Christmas season. The French-inspired course meal promises a luxurious experience, both in atmosphere and flavor. (Note: There's also a planned Christmas menu.)
After dinner, I headed to Hibiya Christmas Market, right across the street. With a 14-meter-tall Christmas tree imported directly from Germany, hot drinks, handmade goods, workshops, and live music, the market was bustling with activity, reminiscent of a European street corner.
As the night drew on, the HIBIYA Magic Time Illumination began. Centered around Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, illuminations inspired by the world of the film "Moana 2" are unfolding. The interplay of sound and light creates a magical experience, as if you've been lost in the ocean. The changing gradations of color and light, from the blue-based "Blue Moment" to the dreamy "Aurora Green" and the sunset-like "Sunset Gold," are a sight to behold.
