Tokyo has many observatories where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city, and among them, there is a place you can visit for free, so I went to check it out. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building itself is unique, and once inside, there are guides who help you find your way easily to the observatory without getting lost. The observatory interior is spacious with 360-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to overlook various parts of Tokyo at a glance. Guides are stationed throughout, explaining different areas of Tokyo, and there is even staff who speak Korean, so it was even better to enjoy the scenery while getting information! I visited during the day due to my schedule, but I think the night view would be even more stunning! On the first floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, the information center has Korean travel guides about Tokyo, which was great for getting travel information!
✔️ Location: 2 Chome-8-1 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 163-8001, Japan
✔️ Unlike the government building’s operating hours, the observatory is open late! Operating hours vary by season, so I recommend checking in advance before visiting.
