[Akasaka Hikawa Shrine in Akasaka, Tokyo] A shrine continuing since the Heian period

I visited Akasaka Hikawa Shrine located in Akasaka, Tokyo☺️

This is a historic shrine that has continued since the Heian period.

It is known for blessings related to matchmaking and warding off evil, and is recognized as one of Tokyo's three major matchmaking shrines.

Within the precincts, there are many sights including torii gates, lanterns, and guardian lion-dogs made during the Edo period.

The shrine has a spacious feel, plenty of greenery, and was truly wonderful.

If you’re interested, please be sure to visit☺️
