Located in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo, Myogi Shrine is small but very serene. The shrine buildings are elegant, and the grounds retain a strong old-town atmosphere. The most special feature is the few lazy and friendly cats living here, often seen on the stone steps or beside the purification fountain, sometimes even napping on the offering box, becoming a "surprise highlight" for visitors. There are simple benches and a small torii gate and ema wall perfect for photos.
