Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa

An aquarium in the heart of Tokyo 🐠🩵 that I really want to recommend, especially if you’re bringing kids, definitely come 🙌🏻 It’s easy to get there, just take the train to Shinagawa Station // Inside the aquarium, they have light displays in different zones, and each season features a different theme. Right now, it’s NAKED Fireworks (this theme runs until September 8). When you walk in, the lights sparkle like you’re surrounded by fireworks, with the sound of fireworks popping 🎆

The highlight of this aquarium is the dolphin show 🐬✨ Check the schedule for the day you plan to visit. When I went, the shows were at 11:30, 13:00, 14:30, and 16:00. These are the daytime shows ‼️ If you want to see the evening show with lights and sound, it’s a dolphin show combined with Projection Mapping in the theme Ruri Hanabi Digital Fireworks ✨ The show is at 19:00 and lasts about 15 minutes. Remember to check the schedule for the day you go, but the show is really amazing and impressive 🥹

There’s also an aquarium tunnel with saw sharks, also known as sawfish 🦈 I think it was my first time seeing one 😂 The tunnel is about 20 meters long and there are huge stingrays too // Other zones have animals like penguins, seals, and tanks with various small fish. There’s even a zone for amphibious animals 🦎🐸

They also have penguin 🐧 and otter 🦦 shows. If you want to see all the shows, you should come early. I stayed for 8 hours and saw every show, totally packed 555555 But I actually recommend coming around 2 PM, watching the dolphin show at 4 PM, strolling around the aquarium, and then watching the 7 PM show // Oh, another plus is that once you scan your ticket to enter, you can leave to eat outside and come back in again‼️ Plus, inside there’s a carousel and a Viking ship ride 😂

If you’re looking for a place to visit not far from Tokyo, I highly recommend this! The entrance fee is not too expensive, 2500¥ per person 🙌🏻 From me personally
