Higanbana or Manjushage: From Anime to Reality

Higanbana or Manjushake, from anime to real life

This trip aimed to see real higanbana flowers, as seen in many Japanese anime, especially Demon Slayer. While the anime was beautiful, the real thing was a million times more beautiful. Seeing them bloom all at once in such a vast field like a bright red carpet was truly breathtaking. The photo shows the Kinchakuda-Manjushake Festival in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture, where the entire area is dyed bright red with over 5 million higanbana flowers. This year's event will be held from September 19th to October 5th. Admission is 500 yen for adults. The rest of the time, I had the opportunity to visit Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa, a popular aquarium in Tokyo. My personal favorite was the jellyfish tank, where a variety of jellyfish were displayed, accompanied by constantly changing lights and effects. It was truly beautiful. There was also a 20-meter long aquarium tunnel where you could walk through and observe the marine life swimming around. It was one of the most memorable trips of the year. #traveljapan
