Review of Tokyo Station (Tokyo Station and Surrounding Area)

Two worlds in Tokyo Station – the old red brick building & the secret underground alley shops

Visiting Tokyo Station in spring, walking from the Marunouchi Gate in front down to the underground shops, then searching for unusual noodles to try, slowly soaking in the atmosphere day and night without rushing.

🏛 Main Building (Marunouchi Building)
• An almost 100-year-old building in Japanese Renaissance architecture, restored with red bricks and two beautiful golden domes that look stunning both day and night when warm orange lights are on.
• Recommended to take photos in the late afternoon to evening to see the long shadows of pillars reflecting on the river surface in the big city air, but without hurry.
• In front of the building is Tokyo Station Plaza, a large open space with trees and fresh air, where you can stand and think about the city's rush and momentarily feel recharged.

I went into Tokyo Station to catch a train, but in the end, I found peace, tasted ramen, bought more than 10 souvenirs, and got postcard-like photo spots to take home.
