Tonami Tulip Park 💐🌷

Enjoy a stunning view of the tulips at Tonami Tulip Park. This park is themed around tulips, which are both the flower of Toyama Prefecture and Tonami City. A Tonami Tulip Fair is held every spring, so don't miss it!

It is located near Takaoka city in Toyama prefecture. Tulip cultivation started in the Taisho period in Toyama prefecture from a mere 10 tulip bulbs. It currently boasts the highest shipping quantity of tulip bulbs in Japan. These “Toyama tulips” sprawl across 7 hectares in the city park and have become a symbol of spring in Toyama.

I went here during my first spring in Japan, in 2018.

In 2024, I want to go back to Toyama. This place has always a special place in my heart.
