One of the 'Eight Famous Buddhist Mountains' in China. In autumn, Xiangshan is adorned with red leaves against the Danxia landform, captivating and breathtakingly beautiful.
Zhaojin Xiangshan is one of the hundred classic red tourism scenic areas in the country, and a national-level patriotic education demonstration base.
The scenic area is themed as 'Revolutionary Holy Land, Guanyin Holy Temple', focusing on red revolutionary tours, green ecological tours, and Buddhist cultural tours.
It is a large comprehensive scenic area that integrates revolutionary tradition education, religious cultural baptism, and leisure vacation.
Main attractions include the Xuejiazhai revolutionary site, the old Red Army barracks, the Chenjiapo meeting site, and the Great Xiangshan, among others.
The scenic area is located in the warm temperate deciduous broad-leaved forest zone, which is a typical natural secondary forest area with relatively well-preserved natural vegetation, with a forest coverage rate of 84.3%. It is rich in wildlife resources, with 618 species of wild plants, more than 140 species of wild animals, and over 841 kinds of forest insects.
