Setouchi Triennale: Teshima Heartbeat Archive

Located near Teshima's Karato Port, the Heartbeat Archive is slightly off the beaten path. It takes about a 10-minute walk from Karato Port to reach the archive. Along the way, you'll find a delicious takoyaki shop and a general store with a gray cat, which also has vending machines selling cold drinks. The exhibition itself is quite impressive and impactful, with strong air conditioning to keep you comfortable. Right outside the exhibition hall is a stunning beach, perfect for a stroll if the weather is nice.

For your itinerary, it's recommended to visit the Teshima Art Museum first. Afterward, you can walk or bike to Karato Port and then head to the Heartbeat Archive. Note that there are several stretches along the way without shade, so if it's a sunny day, bringing a parasol is advisable.
