Skylines, Street Vibes, and Waterfall Wonders: A Weekend in Toronto 🇨🇦 🍁

Toronto is Canada’s largest city and financial hub. But it’s more than just skyscrapers. The city is bursting with neighborhoods full of culture and is within driving distance of Niagara Falls. There’s something for everyone in this city and here my recommendations for a weekend visit:

1️⃣ Downtown Core

Immerse yourself in Toronto’s heartbeat—with iconic stops at CN Tower for panoramic views and Ripley’s Aquarium. Grab a coffee at Union Station and snap an “insta-worthy” skyline shot from the waterfront! Take the short ferry ride over to Centre Island and enjoy the skyline views and amusement park. If you’re visiting in summer you can enjoy a lake swim!

2️⃣ Kensington Market & Chinatown

Wander vibrant streets and indie boutiques. Don’t miss street art walls (especially around Augusta Ave) and fresh eats—try a bao bun in Chinatown! Even though Kensington Market and Chinatown are within walking distance of each other, both offer an incredibly different vibe. Don’t forget to take an iconic snap of the skyline as the tram passes by!

3️⃣ Distillery District

Experience Victorian industrial charm, cobblestone lanes, and unique galleries. A top photo spot can be found at the “LOVE” sign and fairy lights at dusk. Most shops open from 10AM–7PM! There are many cafés and restaurants where you can chill out and people watch!

4️⃣ Niagara Falls Day Trip

Book early shuttles or trains, and aim to arrive before 10AM for misty views and fewer tour crowds. Head straight to the Table Rock Welcome Centre, then stroll to the brink for jaw-dropping waterfall selfies. Waterproof gear (or poncho) is essential—expect to get sprayed! If you want a hassle-free day, book one of the many tours that depart daily from Toronto!

🏨 Where to Stay: Samesun Toronto is conveniently located near Chinatown and Kensington Market. The rooms are spacious and come with a private balcony. There are many cafes and restaurants in the area.
