The Museum of the Nanyue King, located in Yuexiu District, is a large archaeological site museum consisting of the Tomb Exhibition Area and the Palace Exhibition Area.
The Tomb Exhibition Area centers around the tomb of the Nanyue King, which is the highest-ranking, largest, and best-preserved painted stone chamber tomb from the Han Dynasty in the Lingnan region. Over 1,000 artifacts have been unearthed from the tomb, including the "Emperor's Seal" gold stamp, horn-shaped jade cup, and silk-threaded jade suit, all of which hold significant historical value. The tomb of the Nanyue King is hailed as the "Light of Lingnan Culture."
The Tomb Exhibition Area is divided into three sections: the Main Exhibition Building, the Comprehensive Exhibition Building, and the Ancient Tomb Protection Zone. The main exhibitions include:
