Valbona Valley National Park in the Albanian Alps is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. It is part of the larger Alps of Albania National Park, which was formed by amalgamating Valbona and Theth National Parks in 2022.
The Valbona to Theth Hike: This is considered one of the most famous treks in the Balkans. It connects the two picturesque villages of Valbona and Theth, traversing the Valbona Pass with an elevation of 1,759 meters. The hike is approximately 17 kilometers long and offers stunning views of jagged peaks, valleys, and meadows. It can be challenging, but is generally well-marked.
