Byodo-in Temple, etc.

Byodo-in Temple, the symbol of Uji City, is over a thousand years old and was selected by UNESCO as one of Japan's World Heritage Sites in 1994. It is a temple on the back of the 10 yen coin. If you come early in the morning, there won't be many people and you can take beautiful pictures. If you come to the green tea street, don't forget to stop by and visit the temple. 📍Address: Renge-116 Uji, Kyoto 611-0021 Japan
💰Average price per person: The entrance fee is 700 yen and the entrance fee to the inside of the Phoenix Hall is 300 yen. You can also enjoy the treasure museum, which you can visit for an entrance fee.
🕰️bOpening hours: 08.30-17.30
🗓️Travel planning: We traveled from Kyoto Station to Uji Station for about 3 stops and 17 minutes, then walked 650 meters to the temple. We will pass a street with a lot of green tea for sale because it is a famous product of Uji City.
