Fusion of creativity and tradition in Japanese cuisine

Located in Causeway Bay, the contemporary Japanese restaurant "Kokoro Ichikage" attracts diners with its innovative fusion of creativity and traditional Japanese dishes. The restaurant's stylish decor, paired with dim lighting, creates a cozy ambiance perfect for gatherings with friends or romantic moments with a loved one.

The meal begins with three beautifully plated appetizers: Kumamoto tomato paired with snow crab meat and caviar, offering a delightful mix of sweetness and savory flavors; slow-cooked chicken roll served with wasabi sauce, delivering a delicate texture; and spicy salmon tartare, which is both refreshing and appetizing.

The shiso shrimp tempura salad is crisp and refreshing, while the bluefin tuna sashimi paired with soy-marinated Ranou egg is rich and flavorful.

The simmered abalone is tender and well-seasoned, while the fried dishes surprise with lotus root tempura and sweet-and-sour cauliflower karaage. The latter resembles sweet-and-sour pork but offers a lighter, vegetable-based twist.

Charcoal-grilled items are particularly enticing, with highlights including salt-grilled chicken wing stuffed with fish maw and Japanese braised pork belly. The sea bass baked with sea urchin cream sauce is tender and smooth.

For dessert, the matcha warabi mochi with black honey provides a chewy and sweet finish to the meal.
